Random Stampings

I've been playing....and I'm ready for Spring, warm weather..shorts and flip flops...bring it on Mother Nature...pretty please with sprinkles on top?
I bought some peat pot seed starter kits at Lowes and wanted to make some sweet Easter baskets out of them. I painted them with just some cheapo craft paints that I had on hand...and then rubbed some of my Distress inks on them and added some lovely gathered crepe paper ruffles that I bought off of ETSY..and added ribbon and grass and don't forget the candy...How sweet are these tiny Rabbits and chicks from Lindt? they look so flippin cute....wrapped them in tulle and punched holes in the sides, made my tinsel pipe cleaner into a handle...and I am so proud!! And I'm laughing because my Christmas banner is still up, what a nerd I am!

Today, thanks to Kali, I'm addicted to Pioneer Woman's site! I love reading her posts, looking at those delicious recipes, and seeing all that's going on at the ranch! I'd love to have just a smidge of that land, close to Target though;)..I had to go to Barnes and Noble and get her cookbook...mouth watering recipes I tell ya!! My honey is sick tonight, and that never happens, so I'm a little lost...I miss him and he's just passed out in a cold medicine fog...while I'm out buying books and reading blogs...love you honey, I really do!! <3
But, really, you must go to Pioneer Woman's site...it's deliciously delightful, and there are cowboys and horses too!

Early Spring cleaning, and trying to craft! It's funny how I think we're doing Spring cleaning, when it just snowed here in Charleston SC two days ago...first time in 10 years. But, at least we're cleaning!! The craft room...it's a mess, as usual! But, I've been playing with beeswax and crayons and anything else I can find. I recently purchased Claudine Hellmuth's Beeswax Collage DVD..lots of fun! and although my picture is nothing as pretty and neat as Claudine's, it was fun and what I was feeling at the time. Sometimes, you just feel dark and sad. Beaten down by this world and tired and stressed out! This is my piece...Titled "Damsel Not Damned" I wrote along the side of it, but it will probably be covered up by a frame, but still...I'm a Damsel, not Damned-On my head I wear a crown ~ It's tarnished and tilted and I like it this way ~And my heart, it exploded and melted away~ I'm a Damsel not Damned~ I like it this way!

I did it!! I made a wreath like Keri did!! And, it didn't kill me either...but there is lotsa glitter in the kitchen and the den...and probably everywhere else!! But, it's so pretty!! Yay! now, I've got to start on the Christmas cards and get them finished today! humph...wonder if that's really going to happen?!

The end to a wonderful Thanksgiving...family,friends...dogs..it's all good right!! I'm thankful for my family, my friends and the fact that I'm married to the most wonderful man ever..he let's me have what ever my heart desires, and if you know me, that's quite alot!!

I've been busy this week since both of my boys had surgery on different body parts...one leg, one shoulder!! They are healing well and not fighting as much as expected!! Sometimesy blogger!

I'm loving these new stamps from Elzybell's ! Ok, I know that I love all of the stamps at Elzybells, but I'm in the mood for the Holidays, even though I can't believe that it's so coming around the corner! But, I decided that I needed to play with my stamps today, Hubby went on a bike ride in the woods...so, I said let's play to my stamp room! So, I noticed that there was a challenge up, and that spurred me on to try my hand at it! Here goes....

You were supposed to use texture...I used my Cuttlebug folders and a small craft envie, I stamped the Winter song stamp on plain CS and then colored with my copics and Koh-I-Noor pencils and baby oil to smooth out the color of the pencils...makes 'em like butter! nice and creamy. any ways....I ran the little envie thru the Cuttlebug and inked it up to give it a worn out feel, then wrapped some red checked ribbon around the belly of the envie and attached it to some DP for the background (sorry don't know who it by, but it was a big stackish book of it!) I also made a little poem and printed it from my computer for the little card to slide into the envie, then I put a small snowflake brad on the top corner...it's cute if I do say so!

I'm loving these Hero Arts stamps...I can hear them giggling..and shyly smiling. I made one and stuck her onto a paper fortune cookie..the fortune said...You my number 1 Dumpring...hahahaha love her!

Splendid Stamping with the Greeting Farm!!

I just love this stamp company!!! The Greeting Farm, which was formerly pink poison...I love that name too...these are the cutest stamps! So, of course I want them all...is that wrong?? Ha! oh well, who cares if I'm a stamp freak..vintage freak, gotta have everything I want freak?? I am so sure that there are others like me, right?

So, I made this super cute card for friends of our that gave us a wedding gift...I handmade every card...now that's something! I just can't stand the thought of the receivers throwing them away! Which I'm totally sure they are keeping them forever and love them as much as I do! I used an A Muse card and some origami paper..looks like they playing in a field with dragonflies...some bling and some ribbon and voila there ya go!

Wanna see what was literally dangling from the window by his tail from a spiders web? I think this little guy thought he was gonna get some lunch and ended up in bad spot...shoulda taken a pic of him dangling,but I had to get him inside and take a pic of him and get the webs off of him!! They were strong and tight too!! He super teeny tiny! No, he did not sell me any insurance!
