I've been playing for awhile with this picture...I took it in the South of France the first time Dean took me. Being a silly girl, I was amazed that all of the women were topless! And, even more amazed that no one seemed to care, this was how they did it!
What freedom! If you've ever been strangled nearly to death at the end of a HOT southern day by a bra, you'd really appreciate letting those puppies out! I know that I do!! HA...you're lying if you say you don't enjoy flinging that bra across the bedroom like you'd just had a day long wrestling match with it, and you WON!
Anyway...these two little girls are eating Popsicles...and they're about 6 or 8 years old I would guess...yes, they too are topless...the Mom was lying topless on her towel a few feet away...they just looked so cute, not a care in the world! So, I took the picture and when I got back home, I edited it, applied one of the many filters you get in your editing program and then framed it. It hung in my bathroom for more than a year..and then I decided I wanted to make it better. So, I put it on canvas paper..looks like art canvas...by Claudine Hellmuth, then I used another product over the top of the image, layed the canvas paper on top of it and smushed it down to let it dry. After if was dry, I used water and peeled off the printed image of the girls...wow, it stuck to the canvas! So, then I played with some paints from Golden...used some rub ons..some rubber stamps..and then topped the whole thing off with a layer of beeswax! I melted it with my heat gun and just let it drip all over the image..then I used my paintbrush and smoothed it all over the image, once that was done I used my heat gun one more time to remove some of the brush marks! super uber cool!! and it smells divine! So, I painted the mat to match, bought another chocolate mat and frame and WOW it looks like a pro did it! I'm as pleased as punch...whatever that means!!
