Starting the fun stuff!

So, I've started fixing up some things to give to out at Christmas. Dean usually gives the ladies that work in the front office something, and I thought I'd fix up some candles that I got at Michaels for them and throw in a warmer and viola! so here's a pic of one that I did last night..   The Snowflake is an idea from Anna Wight...she rocks in case you've never perused her blog...she is an awesome photographer and crafter and even has her own stamps through Whipper Snapper!! So, thanks Anna for the awesome snowflake idea...I too am hooked on snowflakes this year?! On top of the candle I put a circle with a scalloped circle (marvy) and a sentiment from SU..used the new square scallop punch...love it!!

 






























And that's a close up of the snowflake..you can't see how much it shimmers and sparkles, but it does!!

Happy Thanksgiving!!

Wow, I can't believe it's almost over. It was a nice day, no hassle, craziness or stress. How'd that happen?
And, I cooked my first ever TURKEY!! WOW...I'm like a grown up. When did that happen? It was a great day though. My brother came down from Travellers Rest,SC...with my dog nephew Charlie...he's such a sweetie!! And, the boys Dad went out of town so we had Belle here too..she's a blonde...lab that is. She is soooo sweet too...and my two dogs and Dean's dog Madison, and my Mom brought Fritz over for a bit...they had a blast. And, it wasn't craziness...weird how that many dogs can get along and have fun and not destroy my little house.
So, I did get some time to play last night and today...I saw this on the Justrite stamping blog...so cute, I just hadta try!!  It's not as perfect as the one by Sharon Johnson, boy is she talented!!And, they posted a cute box to  load it up in!! guess I'll try that next!! Here's my pic, and I'm off to bed...gonna get up and go black friday shopping...love the freakshow!!

Are you ready? I am...

I am just ready...ready to eat, ready to shop...ready to eat leftovers...especially the sweet potato thingy with the pecans and brown sugar and coconut..mmmm super yum I tell ya.

 And, I've been cleaning, which I think I'm always in the process of either thinking of or trying to do!! So, I'm pretty proud of myself...geesh that is so sad, I'm like a kid trying to prove that I can do something by myself...twirling my skirt and looking shyly up at you, do you see how proud I am? Anyways, Dean has been on monster laundry duty. He's so good!! And, the boys have been trying too, they've been putting stuff up, although Joe is always good, Jordan and I have issues...we are sooooo A.D.D. that we are so easily distracted, and that ends up being a disaster in progress.

Oh, and I'm super excited, I joined an ATC swap with Missy Balance....she totally rocks!! and I'm excited because this is my first...first ATC and first swap...actually my second swap, but the first one I did, I never got anything back and the cards I did were so cute...someone at work even wanted to buy them, but I was like no..they're for a swap...shoulda known better! But, I'm giving it another shot and since it's Missy..well it's gotta be good!!

So, I've been shopping for myself...hee hee...self love right? and I've gotta figure something out for Dean...what to get the guy that means everything to you???
