I just want a little more fall feeling in the air..is that so wrong? I went to my Dad's house last weekend, it was so much cooler....and it was fun. My boys love their Papa! It's always nice to go and hang out, even if I did make them all go to Hobby Lobby about an hour away...if was worth it for me!
So, a couple of weeks ago, on my Princess Fridays...{I don't work on Fridays anymoe!} I went with Dean to Myrtle Beach. He had to do some repairs at a couple of doctor offices, and he said he'd take me shopping. SO..of course I went! I got alot of stuff...not as much as I wanted, but enough for that day. So, I played with one of the stamps last night. Because, it is almost Halloween, and if I don't use some of my stamps, the season will have come and gone without me using them. Ugh, like I've never inked new stamps and they just sit in the packages right...shhh don't be a tattletale! So, they had these huge stamps, and you'll see what I mean when I show you the image. I wondered if I'd be able to ink it and it stay inked until I slapped it on a piece of paper, but it did, and I liked it! It's called a collage stamp? lots of images to play with and different scenes to color. plus, you can layer the images...I stamped mine on white, purple and orange cardstock. Then I popped a few images up on pop dots and I layered the Spooky part with both orange and purple. I've got a Christmas stamp too...can't wait to play with that! They are by Outlines rubber stamps...go google them. I also used some Amuse tinkle stickers for the ghosts eyes and bats eyes and even on the cobwebs! looks like dew. Colored with Copics, over and over and over...you just can't beat these markers! Thanks for all the tips Marianne!
The next image is a little peat pot that I painted black and used Martha Stewarts fence punch and glued a little fence on it, used Halloween ribbon and primas, and a little KandCo. spider to make it a cute little treat basket!! I making some for my neighbors little girl...my boys are too big to care about treats for their friends, and they'd be mortified it I did it!! Ha ha...so, that's it...I'm going to try...did I say try? to clean...My and my friend Wendy talked about me having a get together with some of the girls that don't craft..they must be aliens!! to make a set of Christmas cards...so I thought I'd think about it...get together, eat, make cards and laugh!
So, maybe I'll make up some kits for them and they can stamp for the first time, and color and have something pretty to send to their friends....
